I have actually made a few renders of this Pokeball. It was another practice model I did back in college when I was just learning. I thought it would be easy at the time, but I went back to make a cool scene out of it following graduation, and realized just how poorly it was modeled. I cleaned up the model though, so it all worked out.
About the composition, I'm quite proud of it actually. I wanted to make a Pokeball that was different from all of the other ones online. One thing I rarely found was USED Pokeballs. They all looked new and ready to be bought at the Pokemart. I added the scratches in such a way to make it look like it had been repeatedly thrown with the trademarked spin. Why is it just sitting along in the grass? Was a Pokemon forgotten about? Is it a lost Pokeball? Is the ball's respective Pokemon lurking nearby?
